My journey on the world of flight simulation began at Saitek, long before Meridian GMT took flight. The dream of creating a more realistic flight experience was driven by a passion for aviation and a relentless pursuit of authenticity. I founded Honeycomb Aeronautical, bringing a friend from the gaming industry onboard to provide financing and infrastructure. The mission was clear - to deliver better flight sim hardware for enthusiasts worldwide.
Many of you are probably familiar with the very public dispute that ended our partnership and the announcement of my plans to buy him out to continue pursuing that dream. A year ago, I would have told you I would never stop chasing that goal. However, multiple setbacks and continuous changes to the terms made it clear that my counterpart had no intention of reaching an agreement. The original flight plan was no longer viable.
So, after years of turbulence with all plans on hold, I made the difficult decision to change course - not away from the dream, but toward a new one. Meridian GMT was born out of the lessons learned and the unwavering support of the sim community.
The goal is clear. To build something bigger and better - to move the needle further. Guided by a commitment to quality, community, and a deep respect for the craft of flight simulation, I’m excited to chart a new path forward with Meridian GMT. This isn’t just about hardware; it’s about giving every simmer the tools to fly higher. To elevate your flight experience - one innovation at a time.

For way too long, our flight was grounded, leaving innovation on standby and our vision for the future unclear. But every delay only strengthened our resolve to create something better—and gave us time to add ideas from the community, make the products more customizable, and develop something truly special - The next generation of flight sim hardware. Built for the community.
When it became clear that the original flight plan was no longer viable, we did what every pilot is trained to do when facing adverse conditions: we adjusted our heading and set a new course. Meridian GMT was founded not just as a company, but as a commitment to the flight sim community - one that we will never compromise. The support and loyalty shown by simmers worldwide have been our tailwind, driving us to pursue a vision that’s ambitious yet clear: To develop the next generation of modular flight controls and redefine realism in flight simulation.
