My journey in the world of flight simulation began at Saitek, long before Meridian GMT took flight. The dream of creating a more realistic flight experience was driven by a passion for aviation and a relentless pursuit of authenticity. I founded Honeycomb Aeronautical, bringing a friend from the gaming industry on board to provide financing and infrastructure. The mission was clear – to deliver better flight sim hardware for enthusiasts worldwide.
Many of you are probably familiar with the very public dispute that ended our partnership and the announcement of my plans to buy him out to continue pursuing that dream. A year ago, I would have told you I would never stop chasing that goal. However, multiple setbacks and continuous changes to the terms made it clear that my counterpart had no intention of reaching an agreement. The original flight plan was no longer viable.
The goal is clear: To build something bigger and better – to move the needle further.
So, after years of turbulence with all plans on hold, I made the difficult decision to change course – not away from the dream, but toward a new one. Meridian GMT was born out of the lessons learned and the unwavering support of the sim community.
